The Aussie Rescue and Placement Helpline, Inc.
(ARPH) is a not-for-profit organization comprised
of volunteers who are dedicated to the Australian
Shepherd breed.

ARPH's mission is to rescue Australian Shepherds
and place them into loving, caring, and permanent
homes, and to educate the public about all aspects
of owning an Australian Shepherd.

ARPH's rescue efforts are supported largely by
donations from those who love the breed, including
donations from the Australian Shepherd Club of
America (ASCA), its Affiliate Clubs, and other
Australian Shepherd groups and organizations.

Knine Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
We do not have a kennel or visiting hours.
We are made up of foster homes & volunteers. Only
very few dogs at a time can be taken in to re-home.
Knine Rescue works with other bigger
rescue operations in the area.
If you can foster the animal while Knine Rescue
advertises it & attempts to re-home it,
we welcome the opportunity to assist you.
Our goal is to promote responsible animal ownership and
to assume those responsibilities
when others are unwilling or unable to do so.

Started in 1987 as a professional kennel, the
Poole's (Jeff and Sherry)
soon found the need to help dogs
find homes in their area.
Before long there were more dogs
who needed homes
than there were places to go.
By 1992, the kennel was
fast becoming a dog rescue.
By 1999, Poole's Dog Rescue was a reality!
With the help of friends, family and,
yes, even the local Girl Scout Troop,
the Poole's continue their efforts to help give
a second chance to needy dogs.

We are a non profit 501(c)3 organization
located in one of Maryland's poorest counties.
Before August 2000, we worked without a shelter.
Until that time, all of the animals that we rescued
were placed in foster homes with our volunteers.
We still have many wonderful pets in foster
homes, and many more in our new shelter.
We offer a low cost/free spay and neuter program
for the pets belonging to low income and elderly
residents of our county, and offer educational
programs and resources for pet owners.
We are developing a program especially designed
to reach the children in our community.
We hope that this will insure the well-being of
animals in the future, as well as in the present. We
have established, and are constantly attempting to
improve, an aggressive adoption program and are
proud of our excellent adoption rate. In the near
future, we hope to offer obedience classes for
dogs and care/training classes for pet owners.
